Summary

  • Open-WebUI now builds against a Python package set where mcp is mcp_1, so cum-tools evaluates again after the flake lock moved nixpkgs to mcp 2.3.0.
  • posthog is marked broken on mcp >= 2 and is pulled in through chromadb. The override also clears that evaluation failure without setting problems.handlers globally.
  • Open-WebUI's backend pins mcp==1.27.2 and imports streamablehttp_client at the top level, which mcp 2 renamed. Forcing mcp_1 keeps that import working at runtime, which the nixpkgs import check does not exercise.
  • Change is limited to hosts/cum-tools/modules/openwebui.nix.

Testing

  • nix eval of nixosConfigurations."cum-tools".config.system.build.toplevel.drvPath succeeds with this change.
  • nix eval of cum-services, cum-games, and cum-sites toplevel drvPaths succeeds.
  • Not run: nix build of the open-webui package. It was started in the background and its result is not confirmed in this PR.
  • Not run: startup check of the open-webui service on cum-tools after the change is deployed.
  • Not addressed: cum-media fails to evaluate because stable's immich-2.7.5 is marked insecure. That is a separate decision and is out of scope for this PR.
