Nixpkgs' glibc reads LOCALE_ARCHIVE_2_27 before LOCALE_ARCHIVE, and Home Manager sessions export it pointing at the host's archive, so setting LOCALE_ARCHIVE alone left en_GB missing. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

bambu-studio 02.08.02.61
Nix flake packaging the upstream bambulab/BambuStudio AppImage, not the from-source build in nixpkgs. x86_64-linux only, since that is the only Linux build upstream publishes.
nix run git+ssh://forgejo@git.cumsek.com:2222/flakes/bambu-studio # or: nix run .
nix build .#bambu-studio
Outputs: packages.x86_64-linux.{bambu-studio,default},
apps.x86_64-linux.{bambu-studio,default}, overlays.default (replaces
pkgs.bambu-studio).
Updating
.forgejo/workflows/update.yml runs daily (and on demand from the Actions
tab): it updates flake.lock, points sources.json at the latest stable
upstream release with update.sh (rewriting the version in this title to
match), and pushes to main only if the package still builds and
bambu-studio --help runs.
By hand, the same thing is:
nix flake update
nix shell --inputs-from . nixpkgs#curl nixpkgs#jq -c ./update.sh
nix build .#bambu-studio
Notes
- Version, URL and hash live in
sources.jsonrather thanpackage.nix: the AppImage file name embeds a build timestamp, sonix-updatecannot derive the URL from the version. - Only stable releases are tracked; GitHub pre-releases (betas) are skipped.
- The Ubuntu 24.04 AppImage is used because it links
webkit2gtk-4.1, the WebKit nixpkgs ships. glib-networkingis put onGIO_EXTRA_MODULESso the embedded web views have TLS, andWEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1avoids blank web views on many GPU setups.
