T3 Code runs claude and codex from its own provider packages, which it puts at the front of PATH. Those are the bare llm-agents packages, so inside T3 Code:

  • claude had no node/npx or python3, which hooks, MCP servers and plugins need.
  • codex ran without the wrapper that loads secret MCP headers from files.

The T3 Code override now puts claudeWrapped and codexWrapped ahead of upstream's provider list, so they win on PATH.

Verification

  • nix flake check passes.
  • Built the T3 Code desktop package from a Home Manager config: the launcher's PATH lists the wrapped claude before the bare one, and the wrapped claude points at nodejs 24.21.0 and python3 3.14.7.

Restart T3 Code after switching for it to take effect.

T3 Code prefixes PATH with its provider packages, so it ran the bare
claude-code without node or python and the bare codex without its MCP
secret headers. Put the wrapped packages ahead of upstream's defaults.
